Death Row Entertainment
Welcome to the Thunderdome. "Two-thirds of Americans polled last month said they support the idea of televising executions." But only some would pay to watch them, and then only in high profile cases like OBL or Saddam. Kinda makes Mel Gibson's point, dontcha' think?
[Note: I just did a Google search for the quote where Gibson states his belief (as well as standard Catholic teaching) that we "all" killed Jesus, but I got over 500 items. Roger Ebert has an excellent review of the 'Passion' which contains the relevant point here. "Jesus was made man and came to Earth in order to suffer and die in reparation for our sins. No race, no man, no priest, no governor, no executioner killed Jesus; he died by God's will to fulfill his purpose, and with our sins we all killed him." From the looks of things I won't be the only one shelling out to see this one.]
