French Looking Guy
It turns out J.F. Kerry was watching the same French news broadcast that I was in my delirium yesterday as he is now quoted as wanting an investigation into Brother Aristide's curt dismissal from the former French Colony of Haiti.
Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., the front-runner for the Democratic nomination for president, said he thought there ought to be some investigation of the claim that Aristide was forced out and escorted by U.S. troops."I have a very close friend in Massachusetts who talked directly to people who have made that allegation," Kerry said on "Today" on NBC. "I don't know the truth of it. I really don't. But I think it needs to be explored and we need to know the truth of what happened."
Of course, "Close friend" in the Commonwealth could be code for something more insidious, like talking points from the senior swimmer, uh, Senator, but who are we to say? We need to know the truth of what happened. I smell a conspiracy as the man with the girlie name from France has been quoted in his hometown paper:
Aristide's departure "was the result of perfect co-ordination" between Washington and Paris, French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin said.

"It's like those before-and-after pictures they print in the papers," the speaker said. "If they didn't tell you so themselves, you'd think they were different people."Kerry has to remember that one. The speaker was Sen. John Heinz. Two weeks later, he would die in a plane crash. Four years after that, Kerry would marry his widow --
