Sunday Pictures
I'm uploading pics at the moment, and it will take another two hours for all of them (full size and resized). Remember that if you click on the smaller ones (about 200-500 kb) in the extended entry section, you'll go to the big ones, which run between 3.5 and 7 mb. Make sure you really want to click.
That wasn't so bad now, was it? There's only 2 minutes left to upload and I'm done with the html for the pictures. Of course for you it seems like nothing, because you can click now, because it's tomorrow and I'm writing this last night, and it's as if time stood still or something.
These are mostly people pics from the Plaza de la Cultura in downtown San Jose with a few from the surrounding neighborhoods. Enjoy.
Here are two series of kids chasing the pigeons in the square, a never-ending source of amusement.
Love is in the air.
More love is in the air.
The possible short-term result of that air.
The possible long-term result of that stuff in the air.
What's that I smell in the air?
I don't know if it's love, but it sure smells good.
Maybe it's in the water.
Faces in the crowd.
How to be alone in a crowd.
Off to a different plaza and a little entertainment.
She used to work for a palm reader until her predictions fell off.
Sleeping late.
My trusty assistant that actually showed up-and on time-taking a break with the big bag, "Maybe I'll wear different shoes next time."
Into another plaza with a small park we find an impromptu art show from a gallery down the street, Los Colores del Sol, Galeria de Arte. I may have mentioned in prior posts that addresses are non-existent round these parts, but if you're in town here's the number for the gallery: 259-6600. They'll give you directions.
I had to choose one painting to show, so here it is. As a public service I'll put the email and phone numbers of the artists at the bottom of this post. There was actually some good stuff, so support your local artistico (or not so local as the case may be) and give them a buzz.
Just a couple of blocks away is this building that I've become obsessed with. I have this idea to leave the façade the way it is and put a club or a cafe behind it. Or both.
This building is probably in one of the quietest parts of the main city in Barrio Otoya, also not far from the park. The rental sign has been up since I last visited in January, so it's either really expensive, or maybe they're willing to negotiate. Hmmm.
That's all, except for the artists and their info. All phone numbers begin with country code 506, unless you're in country, then just dial direct.
